The Deception Of Satan And “The Sinner’s Prayer”
The Bible reads: “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.” NASB Matthew 7:21. Satan teaches otherwise. What is so sad is that Satan uses sincere people of God to spread his lies. People may read this in their bibles, but reject the truth of God’s word by teachings something not in God’s word. Satan deceives people into thinking that they can be saved without doing God’s will. How?
The sinner’s prayer? Here is a prime example of a lie.
First, you cannot find “the sinner’s prayer” in the Bible. Second, you cannot find
any example in the Bible of an apostle or other preacher of the gospel telling someone they should just say the sinner’s prayer so that they can be saved. Take time to read through the book of Acts. There are many recorded instances of conversions. We cannot find one example in the Bible where someone was told to say a sinner’s prayer. Such is foreign to God’s word
Why is this so sad? Because many people have said the sinner’s prayer and are convinced that they are saved. They have been deceived. Galatians 6:7 tells us to
“be not deceived, God is not mocked…” If you have been deceived, my friend, it is time to research the Bible and learn what God wants you to do. Don’t rely upon the teachings of men, and human religious organizations. Look to the Bible and see what GOD has to say on the matter. Let us teach you how you can do the will of the Father in heaven. To call upon the Lord is to believe on Him, (Acts 16:31), repent of your sins (Acts 8:22), confess His name (Romans 10:9-10), and be baptized for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38, Mark 16:15-16). This sequence of actions will put you INTO Christ where you will receive spiritual blessings (Ephesians 1:3) As a new Christian, you will need to continue to learn to do God’s will and be faithful unto death (Revelation 2:10).
May God bless you in your study of His word.
