OUR COMMON
SUFFERING
This is set to the
tune “Fill Thou My Life”
This is a poem about dealing
with temptation.
Verse 1: We are all tempted and we should pray when we are tempted.
Verse 2: We have a responsibility to bear one another’s burdens.
Verse 3: We ought to pray for our brethren all over the world who are suffering
like us.
Inspired by Matthew 26.41; Galatians 6.2; 1 Peter 5.9
All of God’s children
in some way
Are tempted every day
But if you don’t forget to pray
You’ll never fall away
Don’t think you suffer
all alone
Don’t think that no one cares
Each other’s burdens we must bear
This is the love we share
All of our brethren in the
world
Are suffering trials like us
So don’t forget to pray for them
Just like they pray for us
