DANCING IN THE WAY

This is based on the tune “Lord Of The Dance” by Donovan

Inspired by Deuteronomy 13.1-4; Galatians 1.8; Matthew 13.22

I danced in the way and this young man says to me,
“This road’s very narrow why don’t you follow me?”
But I didn’t like his song ‘cause all the words were wrong.
So I danced right round him and I sang my song

I danced in the way and an “angel” said to me,
“I hear you sing that song and you’ve got the words all wrong”
So I said, “They can’t be wrong ‘cause I read them every day”
So I danced right through him and went on my way

I danced in the way and the Devil saw me fall
He said, “What a wicked soul, you’re not in the way at all”
But I prayed to the Lord and He took my sin away
So I danced right passed him in the narrow way

(Chorus)
Dance, dance along the narrow way
And sing this song on the road with me
Don’t listen to the songs of strangers by the way
And you won’t get fooled or be led astray
