You Can Lead A Horse To Water…
I am sure you know the rest of this proverb. Can you just imagine a herd of
horses that are thirsty being led to water and then refuse to drink? Thankfully
horses have more common sense than most people, because The Living Water a.k.a.
Jesus Christ has been offered to all mankind, yet man refuses to partake of
the goodness and nourishment of our LORD.
Jesus taught that His water would relive thirst forever. John 4
God is called a fountain of living water.
Those who go to Heaven will drink from the living water forever. Revelation
22:1
“O LORD, the hope of Israel, All who forsake Thee will be put to shame.
Those who turn away on earth will be written down, because they have forsaken
the fountain of living water, even the LORD.” Jeremiah 17:13
Understand in the context that Jeremiah is writing to the Jews of his day. These
people had left serving their God and were bowing down before idols of wood
and stone. Not only did they confess gods that did not live or interact with
the subjects, but the people were committing multitudes of sins. The story has
not changed in over 2700 years.
The Fountain of Life is available to everyone. And we did not have to go to
it. IT (GOD) came to us. The water was placed in close proximity to our mouths
and most people reject it. Well, those who continue to reject Jesus Christ will
have their names written down in heaven, and when the time of the end comes
for these folk, they will pay the price for their stubbornness.
There is another book in heaven where names are recorded. This book is called
the “Lambs Book of Life”. The names recorded in this book are the
faithful saints of God and those who serve the Lord with their whole hearts.
We want to have our name in this book. But remember you cannot have your name
in this book if you reject the Lord and His teachings.
Let us help you find this living water that will sustain your soul until the
end of your days. Come join us and let us work together to get more people involved
in receiving this “Living Water, even the LORD”.
God is not willing that any perish (2 Peter 3:9). You must believe
that Jesus is the Son of God and died on the cross for your sins. (Acts 8:37).
You must repent of your sins (Luke 13:3), you must confess
Jesus as Lord (Matthew 10:32) and you must be baptized for
the remission of sins (Acts 2:38; 22:16). Then you must remain faithful
and continue learning how to serve God (2 Peter 3:18). Let us help
you on your spiritual journey. May God bless you in your study of His word.
