To Remarry Without A Cause Is Committing Adultery

Another point that needs to be pointed out is that the reason of the divorce is not mentioned. If this person was put away for fornication or some other reason, it does not matter. Anyone who is put away (regardless of the reason) does not have a right to marry again (unless the first spouse dies, or they are reconciled to their first spouse).
Remember that this is not gender specific. It is the action that is under consideration. Whether it be a man marrying a woman or a woman marrying a man, the action would constitute the committing of adultery.
