Hallelujah

"Praise ye Jah" (a shortened form of Jehovah). The Greek word is almost identical to our English word. In this case, the word has retained its original meaning from the beginning. The Greek word is HALLELOUIA.

This word appears in the Psalms and in Revelation and is reserved exclusively in giving praise to almighty God. Many people just seem to throw this word around without much thought.

Read:
Psalms 104,105,106,135, 146-150
Revelation 19:1,3,4,6
