Where Are You? Where Are You Going?

Many people have a pretty good idea where they are. Most men usually navigate around pretty well when their wife is not in the car. But every now and then we find that our surroundings are not familiar and we need help to get to our destination. In recent years we have been able to use “GPS” (Global Positioning System”) technology, and it is really neat. Thanks to these units in your phones and cars, technology helps people in their decisions. But what about the guy who has one but does not use it? We consider that man or woman a foolish person.

There is another “GPS” system that we need daily to help guide us into the spiritual realm. This system also uses the letters GPS. In this case it stands for “God’s Perfect Scriptures”. The man or woman who will not use this technology will end up lost and in a horrible place.

Jeremiah 10:23 reads: “I know, Oh Lord, that a man’s way is not in himself; Nor is it in a man who walks to direct his own steps” The person who tries to figure his path on his own usually wastes time and effort. By following God’s GPS, one can reach their destination without trouble or roadblocks or even a lot of traffic. The Bible teaches that many are on the road to destruction and need to get off that highway. There will be few who find the straight and narrow pathway that leads to eternal life (Matthew 7:13-14).

If you are honest with yourself you can read and see that God’s GPS tells you that you are lost and separate from Him. Read the directions on God’s GPS and it will tell you how to get to heaven. Ignore the instructions, and be considered foolish by God. Let us help you to navigate with God’s positioning system. Come study God’s word with us.

We know that God is not willing that any perish (2 Peter 3:9). You must believe that Jesus is the Son of God and died on the cross for your sins. (Acts 8:37). You must repent of your sins (Luke 13:3), you must confess Jesus as Lord (Matthew 10:32) and you must be baptized for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38; 22:16). Then you must remain faithful and continue learning how to serve God (2 Peter 3:18). Let us help you on your spiritual journey. May God bless you in your study of His word.
