Who Do We Blame?
As we go through life, we learn that things go wrong from time to time. Never
mind that some of these events are cyclical and re-occur every few years. What
most people do is allow others to shoulder the blame for their own foolish mistakes
when they can.
When things go really bad, most people blame God, even when they are the ones
responsible for their own problems.
And how does it happen that others get the blame? Few people blame themselves.
Let us blame a political party, or let us blame society in general, or the education
system. Let us blame our parents or children, and let us blame the music and
other forms of entertainment we listen to and watch.
The truth is that when we sin, we have no one to blame but ourselves. But how
often do you confess your own sins?
Psalm 32:5 reads: “I acknowledged my sin to Thee, and my iniquity
I did not hide; I said ‘I will confess my transgressions to the Lord’;
and Thou didst forgive the guilt of my sin.” There is no greater
burden than being separated from God because you were too selfish and you sinned
before God and others. So, having your relationship with God restored would
be one of the greatest blessings anyone can have.
Most people ignore the truth that their way of life will cause them to spend
eternity in Hell. We are trying to help people avoid such a destiny. Come meet
with us and talk to us and see that our concern is in serving the Lord God and
helping souls be saved from all the ills that this world has to offer. We will
not fix the problems of this world, but we can be assured that when we put our
trust in God, we view life differently and everything just seems to be better.
And of course, having a relationship with God will allow us entrance into Heaven
when we are done with this life.
We know that God is not willing that any perish (2 Peter 3:9). You must believe
that Jesus is the Son of God and died on the cross for your sins. (Acts 8:37).
You must repent of your sins (Luke 13:3), you must confess
Jesus as Lord (Matthew 10:32) and you must be baptized for
the remission of sins (Acts 2:38; 22:16). Then you must remain faithful
and continue learning how to serve God(2 Peter 3:18). Let us help you
on your spiritual journey. May God bless you in your study of His word.
