Where Is God?

Jeremiah 23:23-24 “Am I a God who is near” declares the LORD, “And not a God far off?” “Can a man hide himself in hiding places so I do not see him?” Declares the LORD.” Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” Declares the LORD.

It is obvious that most people do not believe that God is near. Otherwise they would behave differently. Most people do not see God and forget that God sees and knows all. Psalm 139:7 “Where can I go from They Spirit? Or where can I flee from Thy presence?” God is near and we cannot escape His knowledge of us, and we should not run from our duty to Him. So rather than ignore God, let us acknowledge Him, and give Him the respect He deserves. Hebrews 4:13 “And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.” It is like we will be totally naked in front of Him, and we can hide nothing.

God deserves our homage and worship, not to mention our obedience to His will. We learn of His will from the pages of the Bible. In fact, unless a person is teaching from the Bible, there is no other place on earth where you can learn about the will of God. That is why Bible study is so important and why it is important to study it carefully, and follow it’s teachings to the best of our ability. Remember “that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6) Also remember that we will be judged someday. God will bring to light the things that we have hidden from others (2 Corinthians 4:5). Yes, God is everywhere and He is watching you.

Finally in Galatians 6:6 we read: “do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.” The scripture goes on to say that if we serve our own desires, we will be punished, but if we seek the things of God and spiritual matters, we shall be rewarded with eternal life in Heaven with God.

Why not follow the Bible and begin your spiritual journey again. Let us help you. To start, you must do it God’s way. Isaiah 55:6 “Seek the LORD while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near.”

You must believe that Jesus is the Son of God and died on the cross for your sins. (Acts 8:37). You must repent of your sins (Luke 13:3) you must confess Jesus as Lord (Matthew 10:32) and you must be baptized for the remission of your sins (Acts 2:38; 22:16). Then you must remain faithful and continue learning (2 Peter 3:18). May God bless you in your study of His word.
