“The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous, And His ears
are open to their cry” Psalm 34:15 “O taste and
see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him”
Psalm 34:8 While many would like to think that God is extending His grace and
lovingkindness to all mankind without restrictions, the reality is that God’s
blessings are conditional. Psalm 34 is a great chapter to read over and over
again. Within the chapter there are many thoughts to consider, but all of them
are conditional upon our response to His grace. The Lord looks over His own
and the passage in v.15 tells us His own are those who practice righteousness.
He listens to our cry, and he is attentive to our prayers. Psalm 33:18 reads:
“Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear him, On those
who hope for His lovingkindness.” If we go through this life
with little regard for God and morality, we are separated from God with no hope
for salvation. Yet when we listen to God and heed His truths, and seek to obey
His voice, we will begin to live a life of righteousness.
After we have obeyed and served the Lord, the Lord will watch over us and protect
us. If we return to serving ourselves and living in sinfulness, the blessings
will be withdrawn. And we will have nobody to blame but ourselves. If you want
to go to heaven when your life on earth is ended, read the Bible and learn what
God requires of you. If you need assistance, let us help you.
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, (Acts 16:31). Repent
of your sins (Acts 8:22). Confess His name (Romans 10:9-10)
Be baptized for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38, Mark 16:15-16). Be
faithful unto death (Revelation 2:10).
May God bless you in your study of His word.
