The Bible is TRUTH
We are a group of Christians that believe in the Bible as the source of authority in all things spiritual. We try to follow as precisely as possible all that the word teaches. We believe that the Bible is written for our instruction (Romans 15:4). We try to learn from the examples written for us (1 Corinthians 10:6-11). We believe that everything pertaining to salvation is revealed in God’s word (2 Peter 1:3). We believe that sin will keep a soul out of heaven, because they are separated from God (Isaiah 59:2).
We believe our job is to save souls. Not only our own, but the souls of everyone we come in contact with. We try to live lives that set a good example and a positive influence (Matthew 5:16) and hopefully we are ready with an answer for any question about our faith (1 Peter 3:15). Psalm 119:160 reads: “The sum of your word is truth”. This means ALL of the Bible is truth, the totality of the Bible is truth. Jesus’ prayer in John 17:17 reads: “Thy word is truth”. We take the charge to preach the word very seriously, knowing that souls are at stake (2 Timothy 4:2). We try our best to be able to show from the scriptures what we believe and practice in our worship.
1 Peter 2:9 says that we may appear peculiar to many in the world, but it also says that the reason is so that we may declare the excellencies of Him who has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light. Jesus has called everyone. Have you answered His call? To call upon the Lord is to believe on Him, (Acts 16:31), Repent of your wickedness (Acts 8:22). Confess His name (Romans 10:9-10) Be baptized for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38, Mark 16:15-16). Be faithful unto death (Revelation 2:10).
May God bless you in your study of His word.
