Who Are The Non-Patternists?
We have spent much time teaching about the patterns that we have in the Bible
that is necessary to be followed if we want to go to heaven. This page was started
because there are some out there who make fun of those of us who believe that
the Bible is our pattern that needs to be followed in order to be saved.
These people can be described by the fruit that they display. Matthew 7:15 tells
us to “beware of false prophets who appear in sheep’s clothing but
inwardly they are ravenous wolves”. These people have been around a very
long time. A description from the Old Testament explains very well these people.
In 2 Chronicles 36:16 we read: “but they continually mocked the messengers
of God, despised His words and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of the
LORD arose against His people, until there was no remedy”.
I have an internet presence. I have been dealing with all sorts for many years.
I have come across these people who try to come off as being enlightened in
their understanding while they say their adversaries will not let go of their
traditions.
They fit the mold of 2 Chron 36:16 perfectly. They mock those who preach and
teach the truth of God’s word. They despise the very words of God, and
scoff at anything that is taught by those who hold to the pattern of sound words.
These people deny the eternal torment. They even teach that people can be saved
without Jesus as their Lord and Master. They teach that grace covers everything,
and come very close to teaching that once you are saved, you cannot lose your
soul. These people often exchange pulpits with ministers of denominations, and
accept the title of “reverend” or “pastor” for themselves.
About the only thing they will not tolerate is someone who quotes the Bible
so as to teach what God wants them to do. And the language they use to describe
what we call faithful preachers is vitriolic and damning to say the least.
These are servants of Satan who deceive many. They are the teachers of 2 Timothy
4:3-4 who give people what they want and avoid what they need. Since these will
continue on, we each have a duty to learn God’s word and live by its precepts.
We have the duty to teach others the truth that can save, and we best mark those
who cause offense.
