No Time Or Room For Christ
We hustle and bustle about wondering where and why time flies. We are so busy with things and stuff, that we consider every now and then why we have things and stuff to do that keeps us so very busy. And the answer to the question hides itself from us, and we continue doing the same things day in and day out. We fill our lives up with so much stuff, yet we leave no room for Christ, nor do we apportion any time for Him. The most important thing anyone can do in this life is to give Jesus a little time, and make a little room in their hearts for Him. Yet most do not even do that. Most people are guilty. We set our TV's to record programs that we surely do not want to miss. In fact, if we were to forget setting up the machine, we would be upset and we might cancel other plans we had made.
Yet it appears that on a day when people should be making room for Christ and giving Him some time, that other things just push Him aside. There are ball games, and fishing tournaments, those "honey do" projects that must be done. One does not have time for the Lord, but they can sit in front of the TV set and watch a ballgame that they are also recording.
There are other people who truly do care for the Lord and make time to spend with Him. The scriptures teach that where two or three are gathered together, that Jesus is in their midst. Spending time in the assembly with the saints puts us where we really need to be, and it puts a little measure of Christ into our lives.
Remember in the birth story, that they placed Jesus in a manger, because there was no room at the inn? Well, today there are many who have no room for Jesus because Jesus cramps their lifestyle. Jesus, the Son of God, The Prince of Peace, the One, The Savior of mankind, the very God that died on the cross for them, and there is no room or time to give Jesus.
What and where are your priorities?
Why do you not give Jesus more of your time? Why do you keep Him out of your life? The absolute most important thing you can do in life is to recognize Jesus as your Lord and Savior, but you fill your time with things that do not profit your soul. You keep so many things in your heart, that you do not give Jesus any room in there.
It is time for a change, and everyone needs to change for the better. Make a little time and open some space for Jesus, and your life will be fuller. John 10:10 "I came to give life, and life more abundantly"
