It Is Still Wrong
In the world we live in, the idea that anything can be wrong is frowned upon.
There are some areas in which a person can tell someone they are wrong. If a
student gives a wrong answer, the teacher can tell them they are wrong, and
hopefully this will be a learning experience for the student. A boss might tell
the employee they are doing something wrong, and hopefully the employee will
learn from it and correct his/her actions. If someone tells you the wrong score
of the ballgame last night, you can give them the true and correct facts. We
have no problem in such situations as mentioned here.
The real problem is when people decide for themselves what is right and wrong.
The Bible mentions many times that people often see themselves as right most
of the time, but if they are not right with God, it is a problem. In this post-modernistic
society that is developing in our world today, we see many rejecting any concept
that something of a moral nature is right or wrong. To do so, they must ignore
the Bible which has been proven for generations to be the infallible (without
error) word of God. The Bible is the standard by which we will be judged in
the end. Revelation 20:12 tells us that books will be opened, and we will be
judge by the things written in the books, according to our deeds. Jesus spoke
the word of God, and told us that His words would judge us in the end (John
12:48).
Man, society, and even governments may approve of something, but if God said
it is wrong to do, then it is sin and sin separates people from God (Isaiah
59:2). A case in point is this idea of “Gay marriage”. While we
cannot prohibit men from having sexual relations with other men, and entering
social contracts or even have marriage ceremonies, even though they may have
that right according to society; it is still wrong according to God. It would
not matter if the whole world embraced such and had no problem with this, it
is still wrong in the sight of God.
God’s word is infallible and is the final authority on what is right or
wrong. Those who respect God and want to go to heaven when this life is over
will follow the teaching from the Bible. In Leviticus 18:22 it reads: “You
shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.”
In 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 there is a list of several sins that will keep a person
out of heaven. Included in that list is homosexuality. Those who practice homosexuality
will not go to heaven, unless they cease their abomination and turn and serve
the Lord Jesus.
Even though it is lawful for people to drink, God still calls drunkenness a
sin. There are other things allowed by man and society that God does not approve
of. If anyone wants to go to heaven they will have to go to God’s word
and learn what God wants them to do.
There is no other way to get to heaven.
If we can assist you in learning the truth of God’s word, and if you are
interested in doing things in God’s ways, let us help you. You will be
taught to believe in Christ, repent of your sins, and be baptized for the remission
(removal) of your sins, then begin your lifelong journey of walking with God
and doing His will.
