IN MEMORY
OF THE LORD’S DEATH
Sing this to the tune of
In Memory Of The Savior’s Love or Fill Thou My Life
Inspired by Matthew 26.26-29; 1 Corinthians 11.23-30; Acts 20.7
On the first day of every
week
Saints come together here
To eat the bread and drink the wine
In mem’ry of the Lord
As we’re partaking
of the bread
Think what it represents
His body hung up on the cross
Broken for all our sakes
As we’re partaking
of the wine
Think what it represents
The blood He shed on Calvary
To wash away our sins
Think on these things as
we partake:
His body and His blood
This is partaking worthily
When you think on these things
So, as we share the bread
and wine
We look back on His death
This we’re proclaiming every week
Until He comes again
